Abstract

This article proposes a cyber-physical system (CPS) implementation that brings together computation, visualization, communication, and sensor layers. The implementation was developed as part of an educational program aimed at promoting science and presenting it in an engaging manner. Consequently, the system was designed according to the cyber-physical system paradigm and implemented as a space shuttle simulation featuring several physical consoles running their own pre-programmed routines. These consoles operate as autonomous CPS subsystems. The implementation details, along with the deployment process, are presented. Finally, remarks regarding future development are provided.
