Abstract

This article theoretically discusses the impact of the ambiguity groups and the measurement accuracy on the diagnostic capabilities of a selected class of verification methods for diagnosing parametric faults in analog circuits. At the same time it points out that what constitutes a limitation in the diagnostics can be used constructively in the design process (which is in its essence the inverse problem) with regard to the selection of the parameters of the circuit components in terms of the circuit's intended functionality.
